Make buying a car in Lanzarote a breeze

If you’ve ever bought a car here in Lanzarote, you’ll know there are some background checks to be done as well as the paperwork for the transfer of ownership. 
 
We can make sure there are no outstanding debts from fines or embargoes and that the road tax is paid up to date. You’ll want to do this as any outstanding debts will be transferred with the change of ownership, leaving you responsible as the buyer. 
 
We can also save you time running round the various offices, and take care of the transfer of ownership for you, leaving you free to hit the open road and enjoy your new vehicle.

Driving licenses

Swap, renew or update details

Swap to Spanish license

Your foreign driving license will only be valid to drive on in Lanzarote for the first six months of your residency. After that you must get a Spanish driving license.

You Spanish license will have a renewal date on the reverse side, typically it lasts 10 years. We can make appointments for both the medical and the paperwork.
